I just thought a general list would be helpful for people starting out in Lolita.

If I'm missing any, or have incorrect info, comment and let me know! I'll update the list.

Clothing:
OP - One Piece! A dress with sleeves.
JSK - A Jumper Skirt! A dress without sleeves, worn with a blouse underneath.
OTK - Over The Knee! Socks that go~over the knee~ C:
Cutsew - a top made of t-shirt like material.
KC - Katyusha, A Head Bow!
Shirring - A stretchy area of a blouse, waist band or back of clothing made of elastic. Allowed the article a bit more give when wearing!
A-Line/Cupcake/Bell Shape - The different shapes of a skirt/Petti!
Pannier: A Petticoat!
RHS: Rocking Horse Shoes

General Lingo:
Coord - Co-ordinate! Your Lolita Outfit.
Reserve - Reservation! This is when you basically pre-order something to put it in simplest terms.
Brolita - A boy that dresses in Lolita.
Boystyle/Ouji/Kodona: Basically a relative of Lolita, only you wear Shorts or Trousers, not Skirts and Dresses.
Ita - A term for someone who buys a costume-y looking dress and/or has general bad styling skills.
Comm - Community. Your "Lolita Comm" is a group of Lolitas that live in your city! I live in Nova Scotia, so my Comm is Lolitas of Atlantic Canada,
OTT - Over The Top! Also known a Deco. Generally when someone has a lot of cute accessories!
Meet Ups - This is when Lolitas "meet up' and hang out!

Lucky Pack: A surprise package some brands will sell including random Lolita items.

EGL - Elegant Gothic & Lolita, also a LiveJournal Community for Lolitas.
EGA - Elegant Gothic Aristocrat, related to Lolita, withless poofy skirts and generally a more Victorian style fashion.

CGL - A board on 4Chan focusing on Cosplay and Lolita.

The blouse is around $30 CAD, with free shipping. It always takes the allotted shipping time. And it's not the most beautiful blouse but awesome for the price as it's one of the cheaper ones on there.

I honestly really love this top! In person it looks 1000x better than the stock photo as I was having my doubts when I purchased it. But I think I liked it more than the skirt I bought originally. hehe
The lace is actually nice and the fabric isn't near as close to the shine and thinness as in the stock photo. It has a zipper along the side and buttons up the collar. The lining lace type thing has cute little roses in it. The fabric gets very wrinkly but this is probably the perfect blouse for under a JSK as it doesn't have a lot going on in the front tummy section.

The blouse comes in m and 2L, so I get a 2L for my bust. It's a bit tight but I usually wear a corset under my blouses anyway so with that it's fine. All the measurements seem to be true to size. Here is the measurement for a 2L

For my BEAUTIFUL DRESS I paid 170, which is a lot, especially for a replica. But I absolutely love it and am not too burnt out over replicas as other people are. I thought 170 including shipping for a custom fit custom cut dress was amazing considering brand skirts that might not fit are the same price, (I understand the auction/second hand argument but man I’m not an m so what are my chances mate)

It’s actually so comfy. And as usual, is a little too big but I don’t mind cause it doesn't look bad or anything. The fabric is a good weight but my cheap petti is a little too weak for the skirt. The lace around the top and in the sleeves is very soft but a bit out of place on the dress since it does have polka dots on it. I was pleasantly surprised to see the carousel horses on the lace around the bottom though! It’s wonderfully made with a zipper in the back and a soft silky lining. I think the print is beautiful and I see no discolouration or leaking or spreading. The little gold stars are so cute! I’m not sure what other people would be looking for in quality so here is a bunch of photos!

The two times I've dealt with Oo Jia through Facebook and it worked out fine. I feel like it’s easier to get a hold of her this way rather than through email. I dunno why xO Since facebook messaging has all the dates I’ll just go through the whole process.
On January 6^th I messaged her asking if she still had her DDC fabric and if it was enough to make a dress in her chess chocolate replica cut. She replied the next day and it would be 170 including shipping. I received an invoice on January 8^th but I wasn’t able to pay until January 12^th since I had to wait for my loan to process. She replied on January 14^th to let me know that she would post photos when she was complete. The only little things I didn’t like much was when she posted the photos on January 28^th and didn’t let me know so I didn’t see them until into February and I had to ask her for my tracking number (which is another I was a little upset over). I ended up receiving my beautiful dress the day after she replied, February 13^th .

So it basically took exactly a month for it to be made and delivered which is amazing timing like what even

♡ Board Game Meet Up ♡

♡ Hello Frill Friends~ ♡

On February 20th my local comm had a meet up at the Board Room Game Cafe in Halifax.

We all had a lot of fun, it's a cool place so check it out if you're ever around! There's a five dollar charge if you're of age but if you're a minor you need to pay 12 dollars for a sandwich, drink and two hours of playing. Which is lame but what are you gonna do.

After that a few Lolitas and I went to check out the new library, but it was closed. So we went to two malls instead! ^^

26" Long Wavy White Platinum Blonde Lace Front Synthetic Hair Wig

For a lace front wig, 53 dollars is kind of amazing, considering other lace fronts I have seen are in the 60-70 dollar price range. I believe this 50 was well worth it and shipping was only 11 dollars as well, regular air mail. I bought it December 23rd and received it January 9th. It came much quicker than expect since it is from China.

Jinkies I love it so far. I have never had a lace front wig before so I am not completely sure what exactly I should be looking for there, but the fibres look great where they are weaved. I will need to invest in some tape though, as my head is very small so the front flaps around a bit. The wig is so so soft and very long. It is fairly thick, the only thing I seen wrong was that at the top where the lace meets the cape, it kind of noticeable if you put your head down. Either due to it being so thick there- or the colour being so light.
Speaking of colour, it is whiter than I expected it to be. I know it says platinum blonde which is very white but when on, it seems more white than blonde.

The customer service was fine with the company, I had no questions or concerns so I really had no reason for contact but you get the conformation email and everything. My tracking number stayed very up to date and let me now when it was getting closer to me.
I will definitely be buying more!
With my wig, they also sent me two free clip-in extensions!

I purchased these shoes on January 24 from, http://www.ebay.ca/usr/e8tdws

And I just recieved them today, February 20!
They were from Hong Kong, so I don’t mind how long they took.
Estimated within 19-23 business days according to eBay.

I got these shoes for $15.99 CAD plus $6.99 CAD Shipping in size EU 39, so US 8.
They are a taaaaaad small around my long toes, :P But I’m usually an 8.5 and I think that they fit great considering.

These came in a box that was damaged by shipping, but that’s usual. And the box originally did come wrapped in a thick plastic but I just got too excited and forgot to take a picture. Hehe.

They came with two black laces, but my sister really wanted to use ribbon instead, so we did for one. They other is with the lace that arrived with them. C:

They feel cheap, but they were cheap, so I don’t mind at all! They’re not fall-apart kinda of cheap but don’t expect them to be fantastic quality, they were only 15 dollars. Hehe.
I did buy these just to see if I would like the look of them with some of my outfits, and I really do. C: So I’ll invest in some actual platform sneakers of better quality!

But if you’re looking for a cheap equivalent, here you go!!

This was the first thing I ordered using EMS Shipping. It arrived in the time it said (Six Business Days) I did not particularily like spending $53 on a cape, but for other people, I am sure it’s a fantasic price considering the quality of this item!

It is AMAZING. Not quite a suitable jacket for winter, because it is a cape so the bottom is open. But I wear it when it snows sometimes and it gets the job done! The buttons are huuuge and all seem to be sewn on well. The fur is so so so soft and the pompoms on the strings are the same! The ruffles and bows are just too cute and so is the lining! 

It’s more of a early fall jacket thickness, and that is all I really was looking for.

I take a bodyline 2L due to my bust size but this cape only came in m. Which is totally fine because it fits my shoulders perfectly and it the correct length. Since it’s all open the only thing that would be a problem is the length for your arms and such and it’s a tad bit long for me. I wish there were more size options though as Bodyline sizing are so iffy.
